Virtual budtender
The Happy Nights virtual budtender is a free shopping tool on happynightsdispensary.com that asks up to five tap-only questions and returns three products from our live menu at 99-25 Horace Harding Expressway in Corona, Queens. Every pick shows the menu tags and price it was matched on, its lab terpene panel where the menu reports one, and links straight to that product for in-store pickup.

Virtual budtender
Which tag are you shopping for?
Up to five taps. We filter our live menu by the tags brands and our store publish. It's a shopping filter, not a prediction of how anything will affect you.
What it asks, and why
Only the first question is required. Skip any of the rest and that answer simply drops out of the scoring.
Which tag are you shopping for?
Brands and our store tag products on the menu with words like Relaxed, Happy, Energetic, Creative and Focused, each rated from 5 to 9. You pick a tag and the tool looks for products that carry it. It filters by what the menu says; it does not predict what a product will do. Every product that carries your tag comes before any that does not, and a card says so when its product is not tagged.
How do you like it?
Flower, pre-rolls, vapes, edibles, concentrates or tinctures, offered only when they are on our shelf. Skip it and every type stays in play.
Where on the shelf?
Lightest, lighter, middle or higher, judged inside each product type against our own shelf, so the middle of the flower shelf and the middle of the edible shelf are different products. We do not print THC figures here; each product page on our menu lists its lab results. For edibles the card states the serving as labelled, per piece and per pack.
What is the budget?
Under $25, $25 to $50, $50 to $100, or no limit. A product over budget is scored lower rather than hidden, because on a thin shelf a slightly dearer match can be the better pick, and the price is always on the card.
Any smell you lean toward?
Citrus, earthy, peppery, pine, floral or sweet, read straight off each product’s lab terpene panel. Only aromas that some product on our shelf actually carries are offered.
How a pick is scored
Out of 100. A question you skip, or a figure a product does not report, leaves the sum instead of counting against it. Ties go to the lower price. Aroma is a filter, not a score, and nothing is ranked by what research says a terpene does. Every card can show its own breakdown.
| Term | Points | |
|---|---|---|
| Menu tagsHow strongly the menu rates the product for the tags you picked, on its own 5 to 9 scale. | 60 | How strongly the menu rates the product for the tags you picked, on its own 5 to 9 scale. |
| Shelf positionWhere the product sits on our shelf for its type, against the answer you gave. | 25 | Where the product sits on our shelf for its type, against the answer you gave. |
| BudgetIts best current price against your band. | 15 | Its best current price against your band. |
The terpenes on our menu
These lead the lab panels on the Happy Nights menu. A terpene panel is measured for each batch, and aroma is the one thing it tells you plainly.
Caryophyllene
Pepper, clove and dry wood. The most common lead terpene on our menu.
Limonene
Citrus peel, lemon and orange rind.
Myrcene
Earthy and musky, with clove and ripe fruit.
Linalool
Floral and lavender, the same compound that gives lavender its smell.
Humulene
Hops: herbal and woody, the smell shared with beer.
Terpinolene
Apple, nutmeg and fresh herb, with a faint pine edge.
Virtual budtender questions
Is the Happy Nights virtual budtender AI?
No. There is no chatbot or language model in it. It is a fixed calculation, so the same answers always return the same three products, and every line on a card comes from the numbers that ranked it.
Where do the products and prices come from?
From the live Happy Nights menu, the same one you check out on. The tags and lab panels are read from that menu on a regular schedule, and every pick links to its product page, which always shows the current price.
Does it tell me how a product will make me feel?
No. It filters by the tags brands and our store publish on the menu, such as Relaxed or Focused, and by each product’s measured terpene panel. Those are descriptions on a menu, not a promise about how anything will affect you. Ask a budtender at the counter.
Why does it show only three picks?
Three is enough to compare and few enough to decide, and each one comes from a different brand. If you want to see more, tap Show three more under the results.
Can a brand pay to be recommended?
No. Nothing in the ranking is for sale and no brand is weighted up, including anything we happen to stock more of.
Why does a pick say it is not tagged?
Not every product carries menu tags. Products with your tag always come first; once they run out, the closest matches on type, shelf position and budget follow, and each of those cards says plainly that it is not tagged.
Why is there no sleep option?
New York does not allow cannabis advertising to promote products for a medical or wellness purpose, so the tool does not filter for sleep or pain. Ask a budtender at the counter about any product you are curious about.
Why are there no THC percentages?
New York does not allow cannabis advertising to promote potency, so this tool does not print THC figures. Each product page on our menu lists its lab results, and the shelf position question still sorts by where a product sits on our shelf for its type.
Can I order what it picks?
Yes. Tap See it on the menu to open the product on our live menu, add it to your bag and check out for in-store pickup. Bring a valid photo ID showing you are 21 or older.
Rather browse the whole shelf yourself? The full live menu is one tap away.
