A quiet night in

No plans, no clock. Start with a small amount you can measure, and only add more after you've waited. If you share walls with neighbors, vapes, edibles and tinctures leave less smell behind than smoke.

Products that fit

Ask a budtender

  1. What's the smallest serving you carry in each product type?
  2. Do any of your edibles come in 2.5mg servings?
  3. What has the least smell?

New York law, in plain English

Buying cannabis in New York: what to know

Six New York cannabis rules to know before your first dispensary visit, from the state's Office of Cannabis Management and tax department.

You need to be 21, with a valid photo ID

Bring a valid government ID that shows your photo and your age. A driver's license, state ID, passport or IDNYC all count.

You can carry up to 3 ounces

Adults 21 and older can possess up to 3 ounces of cannabis and 24 grams of concentrated cannabis. The state counts edibles and oils toward the 24 grams.

Edibles cap out at 10mg a serving

Every legal edible in New York has 10mg of THC or less per serving and 100mg or less per package. Tinctures keep the 10mg serving cap and can hold up to 1,000mg per package.

Check for the Dispensary Verification Tool

Licensed dispensaries post the state's Dispensary Verification Tool in the storefront. Scan its QR code to see the official list of licensed shops. Legal products carry New York's universal symbol and a QR code or link to their lab results.

Know where you can't use it

It's illegal to use cannabis in a car, inside a private business, or anywhere smoking tobacco isn't allowed. Driving while impaired is illegal too.

Taxes are 13%, with no sales tax

Per the state tax department, licensed sales carry a 9% state and 4% local cannabis tax. Regular sales tax doesn't apply.

Questions

Questions about Happy Nights

Where we are, what you need, and how New York's rules work.

Is Happy Nights Dispensary open?

Yes. Happy Nights Dispensary opened for its soft opening on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 99-25 Horace Harding Expressway, Queens, NY 11368. Soft opening hours are 10am to 10pm, and hours after the soft opening are 8am to 2am.

Where is Happy Nights Dispensary?

99-25 Horace Harding Expressway, Queens, NY 11368, in the Corona neighborhood of Queens.

Is Happy Nights a licensed dispensary?

Yes. Happy Nights Dispensary is operated by Green Nexus Dispensary, Inc., which holds New York adult-use retail dispensary license OCM-CAURD-26-000344 from the Office of Cannabis Management. Every licensed dispensary posts the state's Dispensary Verification Tool in its storefront, so you can scan it to check.

What do I need to buy cannabis at a New York dispensary?

You need to be 21 or older with a valid government photo ID that shows your age, like a driver's license, state ID, passport or IDNYC. You don't need a medical card to shop adult-use.

Is 10mg a good starting dose?

Not necessarily. For adult-use edibles, 10mg is New York's maximum THC per serving, not a recommendation. The state suggests newer consumers may want to start with 2.5mg, which can mean cutting a 10mg edible into quarters.

Can I see the Happy Nights menu or order online?
